Terms
MacServe is operated by Delta Four Labs LLP, registered in India. Using the service means agreeing to what is below. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What MacServe does
MacServe runs a Linux server on an Apple silicon Mac that you own, and gives it an address the internet can reach. The computer is yours. The software on it, the code it runs and the data it holds are yours, and we do not have access to them.
What we operate is the connection: the relay that carries traffic to your Mac, the certificates that make it HTTPS, and the console you manage it from.
Your account
You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your password to yourself. If you think somebody else has it, change it and write to support@macserve.io.
You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must not be somewhere Indian law prevents us from serving you.
What you may not host
Your Mac, your software, with limits that exist because your traffic crosses our relay and our address. You may not use MacServe to host or distribute:
- Anything unlawful where you are, where we are, or where the relay is.
- Material that sexually exploits children, in any form.
- Malware, phishing pages, or infrastructure for attacking other systems.
- Unsolicited bulk email, or the means of sending it.
- Anything that deliberately degrades the relay for other customers.
We do not inspect what your server holds, and we have no technical means to. We act on what is reported to us, and we will tell you why.
What we charge, and when
Prices are on the pricing page and are charged in advance. Payments are processed by Polar, who act as the merchant of record; card details never reach us.
A paid plan runs for the period you paid for. It does not renew by itself, so nothing is charged again unless you choose to pay again.
Refunds
We do not give refunds. Payment buys a period of service, and once that period has started it is not returnable. Please decide during the free period, not after.
There is one exception, and we would rather state it than leave it unsaid: if we shut MacServe down while you have paid time remaining, you get that remaining time back, pro rata. If we stop, you are not left out of pocket for a service that no longer exists.
What we do not promise
We do not promise a level of uptime. MacServe depends on hardware in your home or office, a power supply we do not control, and an internet connection we do not control. Most outages will be on your side, and we cannot fix those.
On our side we run a relay and a control plane, and we work to keep them up, but we do not guarantee they are always available. If you are running something where downtime costs real money, run it somewhere with a contract that covers that, or run it in both places.
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Your data and your backups
Your files live on your Mac. We do not hold them, and we cannot restore them. Backups are yours to make, and we strongly suggest keeping one somewhere other than the Mac itself.
What we do hold about your account is set out on the privacy page.
Ending it
You can stop at any time: remove your Macs and stop paying. Your paid period runs out at the end of the term you bought.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks the hosting rules above, that does not pay, or that is being used to harm somebody. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. Where the harm is immediate, we will act first and explain after.
Changes
These terms may change as the service does. The date at the top says when they last did. If a change materially reduces what you get, we will tell account holders by email rather than quietly editing this page.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live that cannot be removed by agreement.
